This program is designed exclusively for businesses, corporations, and qualifying organizations donating surplus IT equipment in commercial quantities. It is not open to individual consumers or personal donations of single IT products. All proposed donations are subject to review and acceptance.

Submit your contact information, equipment categories, quantities, location, anticipated timing, and optional photographs or inventory files.

ResourceAid.org and DataIT review the proposed equipment, estimated quantities, condition, potential recovery value, and operational feasibility.
Step 3: Coordinate the donation
If the donation qualifies, the team contacts the company to discuss equipment verification, transportation, data sanitization, disposition, documentation, and next steps.
Step 4: Turn assets into impact
Eligible donations can help support ResourceAid.org's mission of connecting individuals rebuilding their lives after incarceration with resources, services, and opportunities that support recovery and long-term stability.

Every proposed donation is reviewed individually. If the equipment qualifies, our team will discuss the appropriate donation documentation, asset disposition process, and relevant tax considerations with your organization.
Tax treatment and valuation depend on the facts of the donation and applicable law. ResourceAid.org cannot guarantee a tax deduction or a particular valuation. Companies should consult their tax advisors regarding deductibility, substantiation, and any required appraisal. Any tax acknowledgment or receipt will be handled in accordance with applicable requirements and the actual transaction.
